‘MOVE Forward project’
On behalf of: STI AIDS Netherlands.
Project in Macedonia, Uganda, Egypt and Vietnam focussing on supporting sex workers in their career development. TKC is involved in three different project domains:
- Needs Assessment: Execution and coordination of needs assessments among sex workers in all four countries. The results will be published in a report with recommendations for pilot projects in each of the four countries.
- Best practices: Research into and publication of best practices in relation to career development for sex workers worldwide.
- Final report: Concluding report covering the results from the four pilot projects.
2008
‘The power of practice’ (‘De kracht van de praktijk’)
On behalf of: STI AIDS Netherlands
A comparative literature study, analysing if and how recommendations from research on the social position and health of sex workers in the Netherlands have been implemented into the practice of social services. The research was conducted in preparation for World Aids Day, 1 October 2008.

Research into youths involved in sex work in the municipality of Apeldoorn. The research formed the stepping stone for a value-chain approach to human-trafficking in Apeldoorn.
