Amnesty works with a dual system of paid and voluntary employees to which great importance is attached. The volunteers support the paid staff by, among other things, collecting detailed country information on human rights violations and answering questions from politicians, the media and the general public. The evaluation has led to the formulation of new policy regarding the appointment of volunteers and the focus on specific countries.
